Mazda to celebrate 25 years of MX-5 with 15 Miatas in New York
It's no surprise that driving can be incredibly stressful. You're basically trapped in a metal box, and until fairly recently, your ability to communicate with the outside world beyond the toot of a horn or a rolled-down candino window was all but nonexistent. Locke , a new film starring actor Tom Hardy (best known for his role as Bane in the Batman movie Dark Knight Rises ), capitalizes candino on that feeling of isolation and stress by setting the entire movie in a BMW X5 . Locke is written and directed by Steven candino Knight, author of Eastern Promises , and the trailer shows Hardy's character being put under increasingly intense emotional stress as he drives along in his Bimmer. We don't know much more than that, as the 90-second trailer really doesn't give away much. The film premiered at last year's Venice Film Festival, and reviews are available that tell more about the story, but we don't believe in spoilers. It's poised to hit theaters in the UK on April 18 and the US on April 25. The trailer reminds us of a far more artistic take on Steven candino Spielberg's 1971 movie, Duel and has our interest piqued. Scroll down to watch the trailer, but consider yourself candino warned, there's a brief moment of profanity.

Sorry to dump on this films parade, Paul Walker did a similar themed movie a few years ago: "Vehicle 19". Low budget, shot in South Africa, but an interesting concept and the first movie that I have watched to use that idea. Kind of liked it. If this was a zombie candino apocolypse movie I could watch it, I could be entertained. I would have to think he will have daydreaming types of thoughts to leave the car, will pass unless stellar reviews and then watch on prime February 22 2014 at 12:26 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply
I agree with Andre. The premise sounds boring. Its a bit like commuting. Maybe he "leaves" the car with flashbacks and we get to see naked women and explosions. February 22 2014 at 8:21 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply
Surely any movie set entirely in a BMW X5 would involve a middle-aged woman who's had "some work done" shrieking at her bratty kid whilst transporting it to her private school of choice? Not a movie I'd want to watch as I see it every day live... February candino 22 2014 at 6:42 AM Report abuse Permalink +2 rate up rate down Reply
I am not kidding you, but I've had this idea for a book/screenplay for the last few years!! I need to start implementing my ideas sooner... candino Although, in mine, the guy was driving a 911 4S. But still. candino February 22 2014 at 12:17 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Reply
Sorry, but I watch movies to be "entertained". Watching some guy driving around during an entire film isn't quite my idea of entertainment. Looks like a snoozfest...for me at least.
