After I had to return on October 11 for waist-deep fresh snow on the glacier grangers to Ferré last year, I wanted to start the tour earlier this year. Monte Spluga through Val Loga to bivouac Cechini (CAI) to 2773 m. The old rusty tin shed this summer was replaced grangers by a beautiful wooden house with stone roof. It caters for 10 people, has a kitchenette equipped with gas and solar light. A model, really successful jewel overlooking the Ferré, the Tambo and down through the Val Loga of the lake from Monte Spluga. The cottage is not a warden, but offers wine and drinks in self-service. From the bivouac Cechini it goes without displacement to the southwest (best men follow the stone). First you have to gain height and cross under the Cima di Val Loga. Then towards the south to the glacier down and holding on the western side of the glacier to the highest point, which ends on the ridge. Over the ridge in a light rock climbing to the summit.
